Led by legacy. Built for what’s next.
I’m Tony Belton, founder of Studio TBD—a design consultancy rooted in over 30 years of hands-on product development, strategic thinking, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
I started this studio as a natural evolution of my career: after decades designing medical devices, diagnostics, consumer tech, and structural packaging for some of the world’s most respected brands, I saw the need for a leaner, more focused design partner—one that could work fast, think broadly, and deliver with craft.
Studio TBD is built on that foundation.
We help organizations navigate ambiguity, uncover opportunity, and design with intention. Whether the project is a wearable health platform, a surgical tool, or a connected consumer device, we bring clarity and momentum to complex challenges.
The name reflects both my initials and a mindset of curiosity, adaptability, and open-ended possibility. We don’t chase trends—we anticipate needs. We don’t just make things—we help shape what comes after.
We’re always exploring what’s next.

Why Work With Us
Founder-led. Hands-on. Built for clarity and efficiency.
At Studio TBD, every project is led by founder Tony Belton, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in industrial design, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. We don’t hand you off to junior teams or keep you at arm’s length. When you work with us, you get direct access to a seasoned partner who understands how to turn ambiguity into impact.
We work lean and with intention. We choose the right tools at the right moment, whether that means strategic workflow maps, loose ideation sketches, AI-assisted concept generation, CAD-driven visualization, or physical mockups for hands-on interaction.
Our focus stays on what matters:
Understanding the real problem
Designing with integrity and intelligence
Delivering work that aligns with business, brand, and user needs
This studio was created for teams that want design to do more than check a box.
We’re here to ask better questions, push for sharper thinking, and build what’s next—together.
